Hello, my name is David Thomas and I would like to welcome you to my website!
I created this site for potential employers, so they may be able to gain more insight into my work skills. I'll also attempt to highlight a few of my character traits and work ethics to help you better determine if I may be able to assist your work related needs. The main goal is to emphasize my proficiencies and attributes beyond the scope of a conventional resume. Whether you desire assistance for a single project, or are looking to add a dedicated worker to your company, I hope the information displayed here will clearly illustrate that I am worthy of your consideration.
My sweeping proficiencies in web development stem from many techniques and methods, both self taught and acquired during an intensive web development certification course at New York University. This range of skills is all encompassing and can be applied to but not limited to: Information architecture, graphic design, conceptualization and most importantly, a fundamental knowledge of and ability to implement client side and server side code and scripts. Such insight gives me the ability to manage, maintain, update, and troubleshoot currently existing websites or to create a new website from scratch. This website, for example, was entirely hand coded. No WYSIWYG applications such as WebDev or Adobe Dreamweaver were used in its creation. Below are a few simple examples of how these codes and scripts might be implemented.

Conclusion
I have work experience in many different fields and have come to realise that technology can be a powerful force towards optimizing performance for any job. This is why I have dedicated myself to becoming adept in web development. However what is more important is the ability to use my skills to help others. That includes having a genuine sense of empathy for a customer or client who might be frustrated and is in need of assistance; lending a helping hand to anyone that I'm in the position to aid, making sure they understand that I am there for them for whatever they require and to always have an open ear as well as an open mind, so I can continue to learn and continue to improve. While some people say, you cannot please all of the people all of the time, I believe, it's always good to try your best whenever you can.
